I am an African American with very long, very thick hair. I have more hair than anyone I know - besides my Hispanic sister-in-law, who has a comparable amount. I grew out my relaxer a few years ago, and have since been seeking the right products to tame my mane. There was only one stylist who could straighten my hair -- and it would stay straight. After going to many other stylists, just to have my hair poof back up at the slightest hint of rain or sweat, I decided to invest in the same products my favorite stylist was using...There is no trick--It's the PRODUCT!! The iron, shining sheen and movement mist, brilliance polisher, and thermal protectanct keep the environment OUT OF MY HAIR!!!!! I don't run when it's misty outside, nor do I forego excercise for the sake of my hair...If they had a commercial/infomercial, I would definitely do one for them. if you are worried that it doesn't get as hot as it says, trust me it does and in under a minute. it made my hair hot to the touch so i had to wait like three seconds for my hair to cool off before running my fingers through it.
BuySalon, the seller, gave great expedient service. i ordered this friday morning and got it monday afternoon. i wasn't expecting it until tomorrow! love it!

My friend used this iron on me to prove a point; I was a die hard Chi iron user and she wanted me to convert, lol. I recently moved to the UK and shorted (destroyed) my Chi iron. On a visit home, she flattened my hair with her Rusk iron. Now, my hair is curly like telephone coil and this iron perfectly pressed my hair with minimal effort! I was really surprised at the ease with which she was able to perfectly coif my hair! Seriously! Neither she or myself are stylists but from the look of my hair, nobody could tell! I highly recommend this iron and $130 isn't a lot to pay to have you hair look salon-worthy every day. ALSO...I think its important to note that my hair did not smell like burnt hair; it did not feel burnt or damaged. It felt soft and well treated. That is what really sold me on this iron. Invest in yourself...and this iron.
