Finally!! The BEST of the high-grade flat irons!, September 27, 2011 By This review is from: Sedu Ionic Ceramic Pro Flat Iron, 1 Inch, Black (Misc.) Ever since I discovered ceramic flat irons about ten years ago, I haven't been able to live without one. I've tried so many different brands from Chi to Fhi to Hai to Solia and Sedu... Each has its own benefits and detriments. The honest truth about all of them, though, is that none of them last more than a couple of years. The wiring goes out or the casing cracks. Or they just die. Either way, no matter which brand you choose, unless you're the most careful person on the planet, you aren't going to have this iron forever.

That said, the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron is far and away the best iron out of all of those choices. Even if it won't last forever, why not use the best in the meantime? And, I can assure you, this is definitely the best. I've replaced this iron three times for a reason.

The Sedu iron I'm sure would be great if I could use it. I live in Germany so you have to use higher voltage over here than in the states. I ordered this flat iron because of all the great reviews I had read, plus my hair is really thick and wavy and read it was perfect for that. After buying it though I realize it's only 120 volt and I have not been able to get a hold of the seller. I am really frustrated because I want the product, but one that works for me over here.

I bought mine from folica.com over a year ago and its still going strong even after dropping it umpteen times. Its so lightweight to hold and the plate size is just right to do long hair. The description given is accurate, it does not pull hair, glides easily and smoothly, hardly any damage to hair shaft with daily use,silky shiny hair achieved, protective plates. The temp can go up to 430 degrees although I dont recommend that. It straightens curly/wavy hair very quickly without blow drying. I air dry my hair. Never straighten when wet! Be careful with ears, the plates scorch! I have even perfected creating loose waves with it by twisting halfway through the hair. Looks very nice. I paid a little over $100 but Im sure some amazon sellers have better prices out there as usual. I highly recommend you purchase. Go to youtube to see reviews.
